CALL FOR PARTICIPATION While an enormous amount of work has gone into understanding the pathogenesis and prevention of tuberculosis, even today, this dreaded infectious disease is a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. The development and application of high-throughput computational and experimental approaches have generated immense data on M. tuberculosis. This scenario has set the ambience for pursuing investigational questions at systems level. We have initiated the task of addressing this issue by taking a systems biology approach. In the first phase, we have developed a platform with flexible architecture and query options. Currently 42 tables encompassing Annotation, Drug activity, Polymorphism and Phenotype, Host-Pathogen Interaction, Gene Expression and Regulation and Pathways are available. We have planned to present this resource in an Open Source Model to enable wide participation both at National and International levels. |
